Market Rules
1. Vendor Eligibility & Registration
Vendors must complete and submit an initial market application before participating.
All vendors must comply with local, state, and federal regulations regarding the sale of goods.
A booth fee is required and must be paid prior to setup. Fees are non-refundable except under special circumstances. See Refund Policy Here
2. Product Guidelines & Compliance
All products must be locally produced, grown, or handmade by the vendor. Resale of commercially made items is not permitted. Local is defined as Made in NY State.
Vendors selling food must comply with health regulations and provide necessary permits.
Vendors accepting SNAP/EBT must submit FMNP documentation as required.
Vendors collecting sales tax must submit a copy of their certificate, which must be displayed at their booth.
All items for sale must have prices clearly and legibly displayed.
3. Market Operations & Setup
Arrival: Vendors must arrive at least 60 minutes prior to the start of the market and be ready to sell 15 minutes prior to opening. Access to the loading zone will be closed 30 minutes prior to the start of the market.
Duration: Vendors must remain for the entire market session and may not break down their displays until the market ends.
Preparation: Vendors must bring enough product to sell and must have the following setup:
A durable tent with weights
A table and chairs
A trash receptacle (Trash must be removed by the vendor; no public disposal is provided.)
4. Conduct & Compliance
No pets: Vendors may not bring pets to the market.
Vendors must be respectful to customers, fellow vendors, and market organizers.
Smoking & Vaping Prohibited: The market is a smoke-free zone—no smoking or vaping is permitted in the market area.
Loud or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated. This includes hawking.
5. Liability & Insurance
Vendors must carry general liability insurance and provide proof if required by the market.
Vendors are responsible for any damages caused by their products or activities.
The Williamson Chamber of Commerce and the Town of Williamson are not responsible for any losses or damages incurred by vendors.
6. Electricity & Equipment
Electricity is VERY limited. Vendors should plan to be self-sufficient regarding power needs.
Generators are not allowed.
Those needing power will be charged an additional $10 per market.
7. Inclement Weather & Cancellations
The market operates rain or shine unless officially canceled by organizers.
Vendors are responsible for securing their goods and tents in case of high winds or adverse conditions.
8. Enforcement & Penalties
Violations of market rules may result in warnings, fines, or suspension from the market.
The market management has the final authority on rule enforcement and policy changes.
